Two appetites · No polite opinions

We travel for the table.

A candid food journal from two shekamoos—eating our way through Los Angeles, chasing memorable meals around the world, and cooking with unreasonable ambition at home.

Come hungry

Good food tastes better with a story.

We care about flavor, hospitality and whether a meal is actually worth your night—not just whether it photographs well.

Why “Shekamoos”?

A little Persian, a lot hungry.

Shekamoo is the affectionate Persian word for someone who loves to eat. There are two of us, and food is how we explore a city, celebrate at home and remember a trip.

This is our shared notebook: discerning but never stuffy, honest without being cruel, and always interested in the next great bite.
